Digital Service Squad designs logo and branding for Canadian Certified Counsellor, Evanson Therapy

Jessica Evanson recently opened her own counseling office in Taber and Lethbridge, but her services extend online Canada-wide. Building a brand was the next step for Evanson, so she connected with the Digital Service Squad offered by Community Futures Chinook.

The business owner worked with Grace Evans for about two weeks. They discussed, designed and eventually decided on the official brand and logo for Evanson’s business.

Grace was super easy to work with. She asked me questions to understand what I wanted to convey in my branding. She really took the answers to heart and even mentioned them later in the weeks. Knowing she remembered those notes was really important to me, because it meant it was important to her that the brand remain true to my vision,” says the business owner.

Evanson has practiced counseling since October 2021. Her practice is about finding healing, direction, and growth, and Evanson is the guide to help her clients discover the truths that are already there, “I am someone to help them sort through the chaos.

Evans designed many logos for Evanson and the final decision was made in the process of elimination. The business owner feels the logo speaks to a larger audience and articulates her vision and message well.

Short-term, she can put this logo on a business card and put her name out there. Long-term, she is able to now build and tell the story behind the brand.

It’s a lot of pressure to create something that really articulates what I want it to. I know how to use certain programs, but I’m not a professional at them. To have the Digital Service Squad as a resource that is so accessible and free, it takes a huge weight off my shoulders. It gives me energy I can now put somewhere else.

Evanson is proud to be taking the next step in becoming a business owner and looks forward to highlighting her message and purpose to her online audience.

Grace and I got to the core of what I wanted to convey as a counselor, so people can decide if it’s the right fit for them. This allows me to reach people who are struggling and for them to see what is possible in terms of receiving mental health support.
