Community Futures Chinook is a community driven, non-profit organization staffed by business professionals and guided by a volunteer Board of Directors. We provide a wide range of small business services and business management tools for people wanting to start, expand, franchise or sell a business. A Board member has the responsibilities of: governing; formulating policies enabling the board to make responsible decisions on fiscal and business matters and establishing the purpose and vision of the organization.
Qualifications
To be eligible, you should have leadership experience and strong financial literacy. Past experience with Board governance, not-for-profit organizational structures would be an asset however training will be provided. Preference will be given to those who have demonstrated expertise in financial management, commercial banking or strong community involvement.
This is an unpaid volunteer position however costs such as travel will be covered.
